They’ve been crunching the numbers and pulling out all sorts of interesting factoids all campaign, and here are some of the most unique and unusual from 2024/25:
AUGUST
We started the Premier League campaign with back-to-back 2-0 victories against Wolves and Aston Villa. It was just the third time in our top-flight history that we’ve won our first two games in a season without conceding, previously doing so in 1924/25 and 1971/72.
SEPTEMBER
In what was our first north London derby of the season, we secured our third consecutive away win against Spurs, the first time we had achieved this feat since September 1988.
It was also the first time we had won six consecutive Premier League away games since September 2013 under Arsene Wenger (8 in a row). We hadn’t trailed for a single minute in 11 consecutive Premier League away games, the joint longest run of any side in the competition’s history.
Six teenagers appeared for us in our League Cup third round tie against Bolton Wanderers, the most we’ve fielded for a game in any competition since November 2018 against Vorskla Poltava in the Europa League (7).
OCTOBER
We secured our 400th home Premier League victory against Southampton, becoming just the second side (at the time) to reach this milestone after Manchester United.
Bukayo Saka became the first player on record (since 2003/04) to have seven or more shots and create seven or more chances in more than one Premier League game, doing so in back-to-back appearances against Leicester City and Southampton.

DECEMBER
We didn’t lose any of our seven games across all competitions during the final month of 2024 (W5 D2), the most games we’ve played in a calendar month while remaining unbeaten since January 2007 (W6 D2).
Games, goals, great stats: Numbers behind 24/25
JANUARY
Martin Odegaard’s 10 chances created against Manchester United in the FA Cup third round were the most of any Premier League player in a game across all competitions in 2024/25.
Our 2-1 derby-day win at Emirates Stadium saw us clinch the league double over Tottenham for a second time in the last three seasons. It was also the eighth time we’d come from behind to beat Spurs in the Premier League, against no side have we done so more often.
After Myles Lewis-Skelly was red carded against Wolves but we still went on to win 1-0, we remain the only team in Premier League history to have won (38) more games than we’ve lost (36) when having a player sent off.
When Neto made his debut against Girona, we’d used four different keepers in a single season (Raya, Neto, Setford & Porter) for the first time since 2020/21 (Leno, Martinez, Runarsson & Ryan).
In that game in Spain, Nwaneri (17y 314d) became the second youngest Englishman to score a Champions League goal after Jude Bellingham (17y 289d).
FEBRUARY
Our 5-1 win against Manchester City was just the second time we had scored five or more goals in a league game against the reigning top-flight champions, also beating Everton 6-0 back in December 1963.
It was also the second time across Pep Guardiola’s 937-game managerial career that he’d seen one of his sides concede five or more times in a game, previously doing so against Leicester in September 2020, while it was the first time City had conceded five or more open play goals in a single Premier League game since May 2008 against Middlesbrough.
Thomas Partey made his 150th appearance that day, having also seen his debut, 50th and 100th games for us come against the Citizens.
Against City Declan Rice became just the second player to provide an assist for two different teenagers in a single Premier League match (Lewis-Skelly and Nwaneri), after his manager Mikel Arteta did so in April 2007 (James Vaughan and Victor Anichebe).
Nwaneri’s goal ended a sequence of 36 uninterrupted passes in a move that lasted one minute and 58 seconds and involved all of our outfield players. It was the longest passing sequence leading to a goal in the 2024/25 Premier League season.
David Raya registered the fastest speed of any goalkeeper in the Premier League in 2024/25, reaching a speed of 32.65km/ph against West Ham United.
MARCH
APRIL
Following his assist for Mikel Merino’s goal against Fulham, Nwaneri (18y 11d) became the second youngest player in 2024/25 to reach 10 goal involvements for a big five European league side in all competitions after Lamine Yamal (17y 77d).
Rice became just the fifth player in Champions League history to score two direct free-kicks in a single game, joining an esteemed list of players including Rivaldo, Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar and Hakim Ziyech. Rice is however the only one of those to achieve this feat in a knockout game.
After Nwaneri scored at Ipswich Town, we haven’t lost any of our last 76 games in all competitions when a teenager has found the back of the net, since losing the 2007 League Cup final against Chelsea when Theo Walcott netted in a 2-1 defeat.
MAY
Our 2-2 draw at Liverpool ensured we’re still unbeaten in our last 21 Premier League games against the traditional “big six” (Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Tottenham), winning 12 and drawing nine going back to April 2023.
Following our final home game of the campaign against Newcastle United, our 763 touches in the opposition’s box were the most a side has had at home on record (since 2008/09) in a Premier League season without being awarded a single spot kick.
On the final day at Southampton, we started a Premier League game without either Gabriel or William Saliba for the first time since August 2021, ending a run of 148 consecutive league games where at least one had been named in the starting line-up.
Partey’s 52nd appearance of the season that day was his best return at club level in a single season, while he played more minutes (3,945) in 2024/25 than he managed in 2023/23 and 2023/24 combined (3,575).
SEASONAL STATS
This is just the fifth time the same team has finished second in three successive top-flight seasons after Preston North End in the 1890s, Manchester United in the 1940s, Leeds United in the 1970s and ourselves between 1998/99 and 2000/01.
We finished 36 points above Tottenham, the biggest points gap at the end of a season since 2007/08 (37 points).
We ended the campaign having not conceded more than two goals in any of our last 87 games across all competitions, since winning 4-3 against Luton back in December 2023. Only three top-flight sides have had longer such runs (all time).

We allowed our opponents just 10 passes on average before making a defensive action, only Bournemouth (9.9) got the ball back quicker. We also won 335 high turnovers, with only the Cherries (337) registering more.
Among players to contest 100+ duels in the Premier League, only Nottingham Forest’s Nikola Milenkovic (70.2%) had a higher success rate than Lewis-Skelly (69.7%), while the Forest man (81%) had a higher tackle success rate when facing opposition dribbles than William Saliba (79.5%).
