Michelle Agyemang and Chloe Kelly have both been recognised at the SJA Sports Awards.
Voted for by British Sports Journalists, the awards were announced on Sky Sports today.
Agyemang was crowned Breakthrough Athlete after her achievements with the Lionesses in the summer, when she scored 41 seconds into her England debut before netting with late equalisers in the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025 knockout rounds.
As for Kelly, she was named Sportswoman of the Year. After returning to us on loan for the second half of the 2024/25 season, she was pivotal in helping us to our second European trophy with the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She then helped England to Euros success with a semi-final-winning penalty, as well as the decisive spot-kick in the final’s shootout.
