Over two hours after a ceasefire was declared on Tuesday (June 24), Israel reported that it had detected missiles fired from Iran.
After Israel unleashed a barrage of airstrikes targeting locations throughout Iran before daybreak and Tehran launched a barrage of missiles targeting Israel that killed at least four people early Tuesday morning, both parties agreed to the accord.

According to Netanyahu, Israel also took control of Tehran’s skies and destroyed Iran’s military leadership and a number of government buildings.
“Israel will respond forcefully to any violation of the ceasefire,” Netanyahu said.
The short-lived ceasefire is said to have ended after Trump urged Israel and Iran to “not violate it.” In other places, he expressed his desire that the truce would last “forever” and his conviction that their battle was done.
“I don’t believe they will ever be shooting at each other again,” Trump said.
Following Iran’s alleged breach of the ceasefire, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz released a statement in which he instructed the Israel Defence Forces to “respond forcefully to Iran’s violation of the ceasefire with intense strikes against regime targets in the heart of Tehran,” according to the BBC.
It’s unclear if the hit did any additional damage because Israel has subsequently claimed to have intercepted the two missiles, according to CNN.
Reports that Iran fired a missile at Israel after the ceasefire was established have been refuted by Iranian state media.Just before dawn, Iran launched a barrage of missiles against Israel prior to the armistice. Israel’s Magen David Adom emergency services reported that the strike left four persons dead and twenty injured.
At least three crowded residential structures in the city of Beersheba were damaged by the bombardment, according to authorities.
According to first responders, they were looking for more victims after recovering four from one building.
