Arsenal U18s keeper leads Football Plus session

It was a real pleasure to welcome Arsenal Under-18s goalkeeper Remi Lupinski to the Arsenal Hub, where he led a special goalkeeping session for our young people.

Remi, who only joined the club in August, has already begun to make his mark as an Arsenal player—and what better way to connect with the club than through Arsenal in the Community.

Drawing on his own experience between the posts, Remi led an exciting “Goalie Wars” session with children from our Football Plus programme. Alongside running the games, he shared valuable tips, rewarded standout saves with bonus points, and encouraged the young goalkeepers throughout.

After the session, Remi took part in a short Q&A, where he spoke about his journey to Arsenal, how he first became a goalkeeper, and offered advice to our aspiring footballers.

Fully engaging with the group, Remi reflected on the evening, saying: “It’s brilliant to come down to the Arsenal Hub. When I was young, I know how important it was to have academy players visit and inspire us, so I always try to give back whenever I can.

I really enjoyed it-it’s great to play and engage with the next generation of footballers. The Hub is an amazing space for everyone to use, make friends, and have fun. It’s so important, and it’s fantastic to see first-hand the great work that Arsenal in the Community do.”

The session Remi attended was part of our Football Plus programme, which is funded by the Premier League and the Professional Footballers’ Association. Delivered by Arsenal in the Community coaches, the programme combines grassroots football with raising awareness of important social issues, while providing young people with valuable opportunities to play and develop.
